We drove 12 hours to get to Arusha but it was worth it! Seeing some of my friends was brilliant. We stayed at Hugo and Lizzie Titleys house and they are great friends of my mum and dads. Hugo is a huge joker and Lizzie is very sweet. Isabella a friend of Amelia and I was there as well. We were mainly in Arusha to take Ben and Amelia to I.S.M. boarding school. But on the Saturday we were there Hugo and Lizzie had planned a lunch party. A lot of my great friends were there and the party was fantastic!
The day after the party mum, dad and I took Ben and Amelia to Moshi. (There were a lot of tears.) But after a long hard tiring day mum, dad and I got back to Hugo and Lizzie’s alone and a bit sad.
The next day I went over to Rachel’s house for the morning and I had the greatest of fun doing the most extraordinary and creative things. I left Rachel’s house with a sad good-bye but I was cheerful after the lovely morning I’d just had.
On Tuesday we left Hugo and Lizzie’s house and went to town to do a bit of shopping. After that I got my hair cut short because it was starting to get such a nuisance! It was such a difference that it took me a while to get used to it.
After going to town we went to Saskia and Georgina Blumer’s house to stay the night. They thought my new hair cut suited me.
After having a lovely night at the Blumers we got going back to Tabora at 4:00 in the morning and got back in the afternoon.

I woke in the morning to find that Henrietta had run away and James our gardener had run to get her. When Henrietta returned she had found a friend. This new chicken we called Hilda.
Later that afternoon I saw that Henrietta didn’t seem the same. But mum insisted that she was and I had nothing to worry about. But in the evening I knew that, that chicken was not Henrietta and so mum told me the whole story. Henrietta was found dead that morning and mum didn’t want me to be to upset so she told James to go get 2 more. I was upset but the lie was really quite a story!
About a week later when we were in Arusha Asina called to say that all the chickens had died. Mum said that the reason was because they probably ate the Mango flower which is not good for chickens. Mum also said we could not have any more chickens until we were fully settled in. I quite agree with her because I do not want our garden to become a chicken grave yard.

Yesterday I was at mitumba with my sister and her friend Hannah. Mitumba is like a huge clothes market. I could not find anything to buy. In fact I was starting to get really bored. But when we were making are way back to the car Amelia said why don’t we buy a chicken. I thought that this would never happen but we did buy a chicken in the end! This chicken was really pretty and she had silky white feathers. You’d be surprised how much a chicken can cheer you up! We decided to call her Henrietta.
Then we sent a text to mum saying that we would be a bit late but we had a surprise for her. Now mum was probably expecting a nice scarf of shirt so when we brought backed a chicken she burst out laughing.
The next day Hannah brought us a male chicken called Arnold. Henrietta and Arnold got to know each other and to this very day they follow each around the whole and I have never seen them separate.

I have just been to Mwanza. We had to drive about 5 long boring hours to get there. Driving to Mwanza we stopped in the middle of the poring rain to have picnic, yes I know not the brightest thing to do.
Mwanza is very different from Tabora, because it’s got a lot more people! But that’s not too surprising as I think most places have more people than Tabora. We stayed in a lovely hotel right next to Lake Victoria. After settling into the hotel we went for a drive to see if we could drive along side Lake Victoria. After driving for about an hour and a bit we saw the tiniest glimpse of the lake.
The next day at breakfast dad was out to find a fisherman making mum impatient by not being back in time. At this particular time mum decided to go and pull out some plants that she rather liked for her garden in Tabora and crouching down in the flower beds, really humiliating herself. Luckily for her (and us) no one noticed her. After mum had stuffed the plants into her hadnbag Amelia decided to take some of the breakfast muffins and smuggle them into her jumper in the end she took 8! That’s when dad decided to come back. After breakfast we hopped into the car and drove home.
